Assignment for week seven

 

Read:

• Picolotti and Taillant, Linking Human Rights and the Environment
  • Intro
  • chps 1, 2, 3, 7 & 9
    
    
    
  • (chps 4, 5 & 6 are not assigned; they are optional; if you read them they count as extra credit)
  • (chapter 8 will be read in week 9)

Write:

• Discussion Questions for Linking Human Rights and the Environment

Research papers:

• Things are a little lighter this week so it will be a good time to work on the research project you will be presenting to the class next week.

Extra Credit

If you choose to read the unassigned chapters (4, 5 & 6) in Picolloti and Taillant, and if you would like to receive extra credit for that, then you just need to post a short paragraph or so about each chapter you've read and post it in the Class Discussion forum for this week. The short paragraph should include 1) a short summary of what you understand that chapter to be saying, and 2) a few words describing what you think about that.

And then on your Final Self Evaluation include a note of which extra credit chapters you read and wrote about.
